Just behind this administration building the valley starts with the
ruins of foundations of prison cells.
The area with the break downed prison cells. The cells were
torn down to remove any spoor of inhumanity.
In
the early years there were app. 2000 - 3000 men imprisoned at the same time.
Later on this amount decreases.
The total amount of imprisoned men is appreciated up to 30.000.

The foundations are routed uphill along the valley, to be seen on the left
hand side of the picture.
Today, only the foundations of the prison cells can be
recognized.
A prisoner could be happy, if his cell was equipped with a
little peephole.
